DIRECTOR GENERAL’S AREA TOUR II

DIRECTOR GENERAL’S AREA TOUR II

The second round of the Director General’s tour of the SSNIT Offices took him to the Tamale and Sunyani Areas.

Dr Frank Odoom met the staff of Wa, Lawra, Bolga, Bawku, Gambaga, Tamale, Yendi, Techiman, Wenchi, Sunyani and Goaso.  His introductory message to them was simple – collection of contributions and payment of benefits promptly.  He exhorted them to try and minimize the operational gaps between the lodging of claims and payment of benefit.  This he said, requires commitment, dedication, teamwork and quality customer service.

He also touched on the New Pensions Act 766 and its challenges and asked staff to re-orientate themselves and brace  themselves to meet the challenges posed.

He mentioned that the Trust would go through some re-engineering and operations would be empowered with the needed support mechanisms at the Area and Branch offices to enhance their work.

The Director General challenged staff to come out with innovative investment and operational ideas to prop up the business of SSNIT.  He continued that Management also pledges its provision of technological support and development, fairness and equitable distribution of resources and welfare issues.

The DG paid a courtesy call to both the Andam and Abudu Gates in Yendi.

Dr Frank Odoom toured the Areas with Mrs Gifty Anterkyi (GM, Operations), Mr. Kwaku Osei Bimpong (G.M Admin/HR) and Ms Eva Amegashie (Ag. Corporate Affairs Manager).
